For
the student who wishes the fullest experience in Paralegal
studies or for those working in the legal fields that are
looking for that extra help for a promotion or pay raise,
our Associate Degree program is the perfect educational opportunity.
IVU offers two Associate Degree Programs, Associates of Arts
in Paralegal Studies and Associates of Arts in General Studies.
The Associates
of Arts in Paralegal Studies which includes the complete Paralegal
program and all the General Education requirements for an
Associates Degree. Additionally, students who already have
a legal background or need a degree to advance in their career,
IVU offers the Associate of Arts Degree in General Studies.
The general studies program provides the student with a well
rounded educational foundation which could allow the student
to advance their career or move on to other educational goals.
Admission
Requirements
All prospective
applicants should visit the school facility. During the visit
our representative will give a tour of IVU and provide detailed
information on our programs and policies, and discuss the
applicant's qualifications to meet their career objectives.
At this time the applicant will be given the facts and figures
relating to our Financial Assistance Programs. Should an applicant
request to transfer credits, an official transcript must be
provided at least one month prior to enrollment to allow for
review.
Requirements
In order
to be admitted, a prospective student must:
- Provide
evidence of high school graduation, G.E.D. completion or
the approval of the Director.
- Pass
a standardized test given to all applicants for all IVU
programs.
- Complete
enrollment interview.
- Execute
the following documents:
a. Application form, b. Enrollment Agreement, c. Course
Request form, d. Financial Assistance form (if requested)
- Complete
orientation session
Upon successful completion of the above conditions the student
will be formally .admitted.
Tuition
and Fees
This
course is a total of 90-quarter units consisting of 900 hours.
The cost per unit is $66.61 for a program cost of $5,995 plus
$500 for books and materials. Multiple financial
aid options available.
